Art Studio

I am a mixed media artist who loves to experiment with different mediums, producing an eclectic mix of work which ranges from narrative art creating visual stories of the imagination or atmospheric contemporary landscapes.

  Most of my work is intuitive at a subconscious level where the brush or palette knife does its own thing.  I doubt I will ever master one specific style or theme as I love to drift and play. 

 I like to experiment without fear of what others think, I simply enjoy the moment.   I believe art should be a journey for expressing your own unique self in the way it pleases you, whether others understand it or not.  I like to stir curiosity or a sense of mystery where each piece of work tells a story, has a nature association, or life message.  

I was born in Yorkshire in 1958, bought up in the military, traveled and worked overseas most of my life; a misfit who doesn't have any real roots or sense of belonging, other than the sky above and earth below.  Changes, new places and discoveries are an exciting part of my life.  My roots are what I make them.

Art has always been a lifeline and is a constant learning process where I love to attend classes, workshops, online tutorials and being with like minded people.  I enjoy delving into the realms of art history and discovering all the diverse talent out there.
